However, it’s not just families who love Islington as it’s in Zone 2 making it a perfect place to live if you have to commute to central London.

With lots of culture, independent shops and restaurants, Islington is a great place to live. Today we will be looking at some things to do in Islington so keep on reading.

Canal Walks

London is known for its hustle and bustle, but if you want to take a step back from that then Islington has some great outdoor space that should be visited if you get the chance. The Regent’s Canal is one of those spaces that you can visit if you want to enjoy the outdoors while in Islington.

Located between Kings Cross and Hoxton, The Regent’s Canal is a beautiful space to explore in Islington. There are plenty of local pubs in the area too which make that afternoon stroll a little more enjoyable.

Watch a comedy show

London is known for its comedy clubs such as the Milroy’s,

Top secret comedy club and the 99 Comedy club in Leicester Square, but residents of Islington have one of the best comedy clubs in London in the Bill Murray.

The Bill Murray constantly sees some of the biggest names in comedy test out their latest material in a small intimate venue. You can find the Bill Murray at:

Visit the Secret Garden

Once again we head to the outdoors to enjoy some of the scenery that Islington offers its residents and visitors. The Secret Garden at Culpepper Community Garden is a small but amazing space filled with impressive greenery that most of London don’t have.

The space is looked after by volunteers and members of the community and is free to enter. Although we do recommend giving a small donation as it helps keep the place open. The green oasis is both a city park and an environmental community project that is suitable for those of all ages.

It’s a great place to take the family if you are on a budget or simply want to have a relaxing day out. You can visit the Secret Garden at:
