Terms and Conditions for Storing Items in a Self-Storage Facility

Please carefully read the following Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) before utilising the self-storage services provided by Urban Locker. By storing your items in our facility, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, please do not proceed with storing your items at our facility.

Rental Agreement:

   1.1. The Agreement begins on the date of move-in and continues on a month-to-month basis until either party terminates the Agreement in writing with a 14-days notice. Note the storage operator at their discretion can immediately terminate a contract if  given grounds to.

   1.2. Rental fees are payable in advance, with the first payment due on the move-in date and subsequent payments due on the same day of each month.

   1.3. Failure to pay rent in a timely manner may result in late fees, additional charges, or eviction from the facility.

   1.4. Rental rates are subject to change with a 30-day notice from the Facility to the customer.

Use of the Storage Unit:

   2.1. The customer shall only use the storage unit for the storage of personal, non-hazardous items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

   2.2. The customer shall not store any perishable items, flammable materials, illegal substances, firearms, explosives, or any other hazardous or illegal items in the storage unit.

   2.3. The customer is responsible for maintaining the unit in a clean and safe condition and shall not engage in any activities that may cause damage to the unit, the facility, or neighbouring units.

   2.4. The customer shall not conduct any business activities, operate machinery or equipment, or reside in the storage unit.

Security:

   3.1. The Facility employs reasonable security measures to protect the stored items, but does not guarantee against loss, damage, theft, or unauthorized access to the storage unit.

   3.2. The customer is solely responsible for insuring their stored items against any loss or damage.

Access and Keys:

   4.1. The customer will be provided with a key or access code via the Noke app to access the facility and storage unit.

   4.2. The customer is responsible for keeping the key or access code confidential and ensuring that it is not shared with unauthorised individuals.

   4.3. The Facility reserves the right to deny access to the storage unit if there is reason to believe that the security of the facility or other customers’ stored items may be compromised.

Termination:

   5.1. Either party may terminate this Agreement.

   5.2. The customer must remove all stored items and clean the unit before the termination date.

   5.3. Failure to vacate the storage unit by the termination date may result in additional charges and disposal of the items at the customer’s expense.

Limitation of Liability:

   6.1. The Facility shall not be liable for any loss, damage, theft, or destruction of the customer’s stored items, regardless of the cause, including but not limited to fire, flood, theft, vandalism, or natural disasters.

   6.2. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold the Facility harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising out of the customer’s use of the storage unit.

Changes to Terms and Conditions:

   7.1. The Facility reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time.

   7.2. Notice of any changes will be provided to the customer in writing or through other reasonable means

 

 

Terms and Conditions for Gathering and Keeping Personal Information for Self-Storage Enquiries and Follow-up

Please carefully read the following Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) before providing any personal information to Urban Locker). By submitting your personal information, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, please do not proceed with submitting your personal information at the enquiry phase.

Purpose of Information Collection:

   1.1. The Facility collects and stores personal information for the purpose of processing and following up on self-storage enquiries made by potential customers.

   1.2. Personal information may include but is not limited to the customer’s name, contact details, address, and any other information provided voluntarily during the enquiry process.

Consent to Collect and Use Personal Information:

   2.1. By submitting your personal information to the Facility, you expressly consent to the collection, use, and storage of that information as outlined in this Agreement.

   2.2. The Facility will use the collected personal information solely for the purpose of processing and following up on your self-storage enquiry.

Information Storage and Security:

   3.1. The Facility is committed to protecting the security and confidentiality of the personal information provided by customers.

   3.2. The Facility will implement reasonable security measures to safeguard personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

   3.3. Personal information will be stored in a secure manner and access will be restricted to authorised personnel who require the information for legitimate business purposes.

Disclosure of Personal Information:

   4.1. The Facility will not disclose or share personal information with third parties, except as necessary to fulfil the purpose of the self-storage enquiry process or as required by law.

   4.2. In the event that disclosure of personal information is necessary, the Facility will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the confidentiality and security of the information.

Retention of Personal Information:

   5.1. The Facility will retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws and regulations.

   5.2. Personal information that is no longer needed will be securely disposed of in a manner that ensures the protection of the information.

Right to Access and Update Personal Information:

   6.1. Customers have the right to request access to their personal information held by the Facility and to request corrections or updates to ensure its accuracy.

   6.2. Requests for access or updates to personal information should be made in writing to the Facility’s designated contact point.

Changes to Terms and Conditions:

   7.1. The Facility reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time.

   7.2. Notice of any changes will be provided to the customer in writing or through other reasonable means.

By submitting your personal information, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement regarding the gathering and keeping of personal information for self-storage enquiries and follow-up purposes.
