The 61st festival celebrates the newest and best films from over 50 countries. The festival opens with the film Breath, an inspirational love story, while the closing night gala features a showing of comedy drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Throughout the week pick up various screen talks by directors and actors including an evening with Cate Blanchett at BFI Southbank on 6th October.

Erdinger Oktoberfest

Have you ever wanted to go to the infamous Oktoberfest held in Munich, Germany? Now you can celebrate right here in London. Baverian Brewer Erdinger is bringing a taste of Munich to a site near Canary Wharf from 5th to 22nd October. Set in a traditional beer hall, complete with outdoor beer garden, live music and wooden chalets, you can indulge in some Bavarian cuisine and have some fun on the German fun fair before enjoying traditional premium beer.

Oxjam Islington

An annual celebration of local talent, Oxjam raises funds for well-known charity Oxfam. With a hug variety of musical talent with over 100 bands playing across 10 venues, Oxjam Islington takes place along Upper Street on 14 October 2017, and is one of 38 festivals organised by Oxjam this year.

The Quarter of Curiosity

A fun event for families, look forward to a two week celebration starting on 17th October with Halloween installations appearing in the Newburgh Quarter, and a Halloween Fright Night party on 26th November.
